Dolce & Gabbana’s Flowers and Gold Inspiration.

I am LOVING everything Dolce and Gabbana is doing right now. Their previous collection with a gold crowns as if belonging to royalty, beaded lace dresses and shoes, HUGE gilded & bejeweled cross earrings, and looks complete with deep red lips and sultry cat eyes. It’s all so regal with a hint of Medieval and even a little Catholicism… but it’s also feminine and utterly delicious!

New Season 2014 of their intricate collections inspire me to get crafty, the detail in their jewellery, handbags and shoes alone is enough to have me rushing to my local craft store for supplies. And don’t even get me started on the clothes! This season the pair were inspired by the Greco – Roman history of Sicily, and depicted that in (amongst other things) layers of coin embellished accessories. Bags, shoes, oversized necklaces and indeed earrings all got fiscally embellished – and I loved it! Please have a look at a new works done!

Dolce and Gabbana crowns are so in trend now!

YOU can't fault Dolce & Gabbana for the workmanship or the spectacle - these are two attributes this duo, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, do oh-so well and time and time again.
Theirs is a show that's sure to always put a smile on your face (even when the snow is falling down fast and furious outside and here in Milan it is, it really is), infused as it is with Italian pride and heritage.
Today they brought the mosaics and frescoes of their motherland to life through glittering and glistening bejewelled dresses, be they fitted in that elegant Fifties Dolce way or short little shifts with gracious fluted sleeves. They incarnated icons and saints - the models themselves being turned into them with little princess and queen crowns atop their heads - on easy, loose tunics that were rich in pigment colours: red, green, blue, golden yellow - and which came worn with rosary beads.
It went demure for houndstooth skirt suits that came shapely and two-tiered and there were swingy daytime coats that said prim and pristine. In fact, aside from a Madonna-esque golden filigree bustier (dedicated to Saint Agatha) and a series of black lace dresses with corset-wide belts and A-line full skirts, this was very much a collection that was loose in shape - a better canvas to show off those fashion frescoes and splash just a bit more sparkle.
The accessories here were real hits - caged heels on shoes that shimmered with flowers and chandelier earrings to match the grandeur of those crowns up top (though not really practical, surely we'll all wanting to be wearing them next season).
To end we had a series of Dolce & Gabbana's ladies in ruby red: their traditional finale troop cementing the richness (surface decoration and the historical references) of this collection. And this is what we turn to time and time again from this brand - we don't expect it to be anything radically different and we wouldn't really want it to be.

Classy black dress

Classy - it is black dress!

Dress Miss Guided, Heels Karen Millen, Bag Marc Jacobs, Sunglasses Dior

Today I went for a total black look beacuse I always have the feeling that any colour could ‘waist’ the dress or drive attention from it.

I’ve always put this dress on for special nights out, such as going to the theatre or dinners in elegant restaurants for which I think the total black is a classy choice.
A touch of color can be a good choice if you own a dress likemine and you want to minimize it for a less formal night out. You can play with a colourful pochette, a pair of flashy sandals or a scarf. And don’t forget that jewels are a very good means to give to your look a different tone!;)

Stay classy,

Men are like shoes

Men are like shoes...
Sometimes you cannot find something valuable through the hundreds of pairs. Some seems to be ok, but anyway it’s not "that one". It’s not yours. Shopping, fitting...  make you so exhausting ... Sometimes, when you are not up to this, you are finding something is eye catching. That's it!! It is - mine. However, then you realize that it was mistake and you send another pair to the women's closet.

Women's shoe closet.  Storage of memories...there you can find winter boots, sandals with flowers, that you wear just a couple of times on holiday, lacquer 'show shoes', sneakers, boots, black casual shoes, boots with lacing tape, red shoes with killer heels - how much!!! And ... what's this? Shoes on high heels with feathers? Did I once wear this? So it is the same with men ... and if they're not around, they go to "shoe shelves"

Favorite shoes. They really loved - you picked them yourself. Beautiful, comfortable, can have designer's strange look, or simple one - without unnecessary accessoires and whistles. Exclusive. You will never buy exactly the same. No!
Maybe once you will find something very similar or even close to this - if your are lucky. Then you realize that you missing...

Shoes can not leave you - they can be worn, out of fashion, just bored, even heel or instep can be broken under your weight;))) After all - they can be lost or forgotten somewhere.... Then you come back - looking, crying, thinking about who is taken them away or thrown out, thinking that they are rubbish. Of course, you will be sad about it. Sorry. But at the same time you will think about where to go for the new ones))))
